Intimate Summer Wedding at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa

Gina and Dan brought the midwest spirit to this gorgeous, intimate Lake Geneva wedding at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, partying the night away alongside their loved ones and looking stunning while doing it. We had a blast capturing this day, from Gina and Dan’s sweet first look all the way to their rad ski chalet reception!

Dreamy summer vibes in Lake Geneva

Traveling from Texas (but originally from Illinois), Gina and Dan knew what they wanted: an intimate wedding with their best friends and closest family members, somewhere with epic scenery, elevated venues, and a destination feel. Each of them spent quality time getting ready with their wedding party the morning of, helping each other with final touches, toasting mimosas, and prepping for the highly-anticipated first look—which, btw, was the CUTEST. No surprise there, seeing as though Gina and Dan are literally two of the sweetest people ever!

A picturesque, sun-drenched ceremony on the Greenview

Everybody got to enjoy the Wisconsin summer sunshine during their outdoor ceremony, which took place on the resort’s Greenview. One of three spacious ceremony lawns, this was the perfect place for Gina and Dan to exchange their vows, where they walked down the aisle to the Soarin’ theme song in front of a scenic lake backdrop, to honor their love for Disney. All the while, a live painter was capturing the scene on a canvas at the back of the ceremony. How freaking cool is that?! (scroll to the end to see the finished product!)

Btw, I freaking loved the all-white bouquet Gina was rocking the whole time. White roses and baby’s breath can add such an elegant yet still minimalist feel to your wedding, especially when you have tons of lush greenery around you like these two did 🙌

A rustic reception at the Chalet (with killer florals)

The rest of the evening was spent up at the resort’s ski chalet, a super cool venue by the ski hill only accessible by trolley. The way Gina and Dan’s florist decorated the large, open space was INSANE—massive arrangements of roses and greenery hung from the lighting fixtures, subtle vines provided each table with a gorgeous centerpiece, and even the floor around their sweetheart & cake tables had a sprawling floral installation to match. I was totally obsessed with how all-out these two went with their flowers, especially given that the chalet itself was already naturally beautiful with tons of natural light, exposed beams, and chandeliers. The florals only added to it all 🤩

We eventually sent the newlyweds off with a celebratory sparkler exit, but only after guests finished pulling out their best moves on the dance floor + enjoying the late-night snacks the resort provided. Such an awesome way to end the night on a high note, surrounded by all the people Gina and Dan love most in the world!
